PepsiCo is looking for an RandD Flavour Lab Technician to join the RandD site in Leicester, UK.Job Purpose
In this role, you will support Flavour SandT activities. Your primary focus will be on executing investigations to evaluate novel technologies for flavour systems that delight consumers and accelerate progress towards our PEP+ goals. This role is critical for advancing work within the Flavor Experiences pillar of the Portfolio of the Future.You will be responsible for preparing product samples, coordinating sample testing and tasting, and maintaining the flavour lab. You will partner with internal colleagues to execute project requests by the Flavour SandT team, update stakeholders on project progression, and systematically save results. Additional tasks include supporting administrative duties such as recipe archiving and inventory management.Responsibilities
Support product development by preparing samples according to recipes, including weighing ingredients, following food safety protocols, and packing samples for testing or shipping.Assist in submitting samples for sensory and analytical analysis, using PepsiCo systems for tracking and documentation.Maintain lab organization, including ordering ingredients and ensuring cleanliness and safety.Manage inventory of ingredients and equipment.Coordinate sample tasting sessions as instructed.Support analytical testing using available instrumentation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to fulfill project needs.No direct reports.Qualifications
First Degree or equivalent in Food Science or Chemistry-related discipline preferred but not essential.At least 12 months experience in food industry or related field preferred.Proficiency in computer use, including email, Excel, and PepsiCo systems (training provided).Self-motivated, innovative, and able to handle uncertainty and complexity.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Additional Competencies
