You will own the architecture, reliability, and performance of our trading infrastructure, ensuring it can scale with business demands and expand into other markets.What You''ll DoLead engineering efforts focused on scaling and optimizing our trading systems across multiple energy marketsBuild and maintain integrations with exchanges and data providersDevelop new and improve existing proprietary trading technology for risk management, PandL tracking, and weather forecastingEnsure seamless integration between trading operations and retail customer platforms (usage data, billing, tariff management)Work closely with quants and traders, putting trading strategies into production and building new toolsMentor and grow a high-performing team of engineersRequirements- Proven track record as a senior software engineer, tech lead, or engineering manager within trading-5+ years of experience as a software engineer, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and event-driven architectures- Strong understanding of trading system architecture, including market data ingestion, execution engines, pricing, and risk systems- Track record of setting technical vision and aligning engineering initiatives with broader business goals
