Exciting Opportunity for a Streetlighting Night Inspector in LeicestershireAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a reliable and detail-focused Streetlighting Night Inspector to support my client''s highways lighting team in Leicestershire. This is a short-term role expected to last around 3 months, or until a set budget is fully used. It''s ideal for someone looking for flexible, independent night work within a public sector setting.This role involves carrying out physical inspections of illuminated road signs across the county during night hours. Shifts are 7.5 hours long, worked from dusk until dawn at any time, depending on scheduling and conditions. A work vehicle will be provided to complete inspections across the county, which must be returned to the depot at the end of each shift.The main duties of the Streetlighting Night Inspector are: Driving to various locations across Leicestershire using a provided illuminated sign inventory. Recording whether each sign is still present or has been removed. Checking whether each illuminated sign is functioning correctly. Accurately logging all inspection results as part of a county-wide data collection programme. Completing approximately 11,500 sign inspections over the duration of the role.
