About Our Nursery

Busy Bees Burton nursery, rated "Good" by Ofsted, is a purpose-built facility with a capacity of 108 children, offering endless opportunities for fun and independence. Our large, bright, and airy rooms are filled with a wide range of age-appropriate activities and learning resources, catering to every child''s needs and interests to support their development.Conveniently located on Second Avenue in Burton-Upon-Trent, our nursery is just a 2-minute drive from Centrum East Retail Park and a 10-minute drive from the town center. For those arriving via public transport, the nearest bus stop is only a 4-minute walk away at Centrum East Retail Park, serving bus route 12. Free parking is available for staff.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring their progress is tracked and communicated with parents.Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring the holistic development and personal care needs of a group of children.Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.

Ideal Candidate

Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
