We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Group Manager for Streetworks and Network Management to lead the team responsible for the coordination of all roadworks, utility streetworks, and highways licensing, ensuring disruption is minimised, compliance is enforced, and the road network keeps moving safely and efficiently.You will lead the Council’s strategic approach to network management under the Traffic Management Act, New Roads and Streetworks Act, and the London Permit Scheme. You will champion innovative digital permitting systems, drive performance through inspections and enforcement, and shape how we regulate utility companies operating on our streets. You will also oversee highway licensing activities (e.g., skips, scaffolds, materials storage) to ensure works on the public highway meet high safety, legal, and service standards.This is an exciting opportunity to manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, inspectors, and coordinators, working closely with internal services and external partners including statutory undertakers, developers, and Transport for London.
