This is a brand-new, hands-on role within a modern, high-paced production environment-ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, improving reliability, and being a vital part of day-to-day operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive breakdownsDiagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults on production equipmentSupport installation and commissioning of new machineryMaintain accurate logs of all maintenance, repairs, and improvementsWork on a range of systems: conveyors, chillers, weighers, mixers, and packaging linesMinimise downtime and improve reliability with proactive solutionsUphold food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standardsAssist with automation projects and other continuous improvement initiativesProvide informal support or mentoring to junior engineers or apprenticesWhat You''ll BringPrevious experience in a multiskilled engineering role, ideally within food, FMCG, or manufacturingComfortable with both mechanical and electrical disciplines (approximately 60/40 or 50/50 split)Skilled in fault-finding and repair across a variety of production machineryExperience with PLC systems, sensors, VFDs, and electrical wiringWelding, fabrication, or machinery modification experience is a plu
