As an inspiring English Teacher, you will:

• Design and deliver an engaging, inclusive English curriculum across KS3 and KS4 (and ideally KS5)

• Implement innovative teaching strategies that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression

• Use varied and effective assessment tools to monitor progress and support achievement

• Champion a love for reading and writing, encouraging students to explore literature and language beyond the classroom

• Promote a positive, well-managed learning environment built on respect and academic ambition

• Collaborate with department colleagues to share best practice and enhance curriculum delivery

• Engage in continued professional development to remain current in pedagogy and subject content

To be considered for this English Teacher position, you will need:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), preferably with a PGCE or equivalent in English or a related subject

• Proven experience teaching English in a secondary school setting

• A solid understanding of the national curriculum and modern assessment techniques

• Strong communication, classroom management, and organisational skills

• A collaborative attitude and a genuine commitment to student growth

• A current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
