The RoleWould you like to play a crucial role within fire safety to ensure the safe delivery of Royal Navy submarines? We currently have a vacancy for a Principal Engineer - Fire Safety in our submarines business.As a Principal Engineer - Fire Safety, you will act as a subject matter expert for fire safety and will be a key contributor in ensuring safe submarines by design. You will engage with a wide range of engineering stakeholders across our programmes to develop and embed fire safety requirements, conduct fire risk assessments and reduce risks from fire hazards.The role is currently offered with remote working, with occasional requirements for site visits to support specific project needs (Barrow in Furness).This role will provide you with the chance to work alongside subject matter experts within an exciting and specialist skills area, whilst working on critical and complex national security engineering projects. This role will also give you the opportunity to develop processes and policies for the site, and influence change.
