Hounslow: Full time on- siteRate: INSIDE IR35, competitive based on experienceDuration: Initial 6 months +Looking for an experienced SPSE, the desired candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering the implementation of various structured cabling IT and Infrastructure projects across the site.Prior experience as a senior project engineer, with detailed knowledge of overseeing the installing of structured cabling, physical infrastructure, and active network equipment is essential for this role. SMSTS/CSCS/ECS are required for the role (eligibility can be considered)SummaryManage HandS of site worksProduce and maintain Project PlansProduce RAMS for installation activitiesProduce job packs and provide detailed information for internal engineers to complete surveys/installation worksEnsure responsibilities under CDM regulations as Principal Designer, Principal Contractor, or Contractor are discharged effectively, with a focus on site management and activity reporting. Ensure all works are carried out in line with the directions/stipulations laid out within the Construction Phase Plan (CPP)Undertake operational inspections to ensure safe working practices are being adhered to and maintainedLiaise with all required internal and external stakeholders to effectively obtain: Permit approvals, Project Requirements, Approvals/permissions for works to proceedContractor management of 3rd party suppliersCollaborate with the Design teamDesign assurance (checking the implementation adheres to the design)Identify and highlight both HandS and implementation risks/issues to the Project Manager in a timely mannerQuality assurance (ensuring installation works are installed to the correct standard)Maintain awareness of the critical operational environment in either Rail or AviationContribute to process improvementsQualificationsClear knowledge and experience of delivering IT infrastructure projects within challenging operational environments and with multiple stakeholdersManagement of cabling and physical infrastructure installation in challenging environments. Preferably has experience working in a Principal Contractor rolePreferably has experience in rail or aviation, live high stakes environmentsPreferably has knowledge of network infrastructurePreferably has knowledge of MPLS solution rollouts or similarCan demonstrate knowledge of successfully managing a teamAviation or Rail experience is preferable but not essential
