Role - Senior Building Services Design Engineer (M Or E)

Salary - Up to -60k

A growing, independently run building services consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical (or Electrical) Engineer to support project delivery and play a key role in mentoring junior staff.

With a team of circa 25-30 engineers (a mix of permanent and contract staff), the business has built a strong reputation delivering refurbishment-focused projects across a range of sectors. Their workload is predominantly mechanical (roughly 70/30 split), and they maintain long-standing relationships with major clients including Atkins.

The role is office-based and will suit someone who enjoys being present with the team, particularly as one of the immediate priorities is bringing in and developing graduate-level engineers. The company is keen to find someone who is not only technically capable, but also willing to mentor and support less experienced engineers on a day-to-day basis.

Project work is varied and includes prison refurbishments, fire alarm upgrades within residential and sheltered housing, rail-related schemes, and education sector projects. Many of these are long-term frameworks, providing stability and a consistent pipeline of work over the coming years.

They are looking for an experienced engineer who can take ownership of projects, contribute to design delivery, and help strengthen the in-office team culture. Mechanical bias is preferred given the nature of the workload, but strong electrical engineers will also be considered.

The salary on offer is in the region of -55,00060,000, depending on experience and capability.
