Junior Business Development Associate
6 Month FTC + Potential permanent
Location- - Bristol (Aztec West) Hybrid working

RC Fornax, a veteran-owned engineering consultancy operating within the aerospace and defence sectors, is looking for Junior Business Development Associate-to join our team. This role is designed for someone at the start of their career who is keen to learn about the defence, aerospace, and engineering sectors. You will gain hands-on experience in market research, lead generation, and supporting the early stages of our business development process.

Responsibilities

• Support the team by researching potential customers, partners, and projects in the defence, aerospace, and engineering industries.
• Assist in identifying and recording potential leads under the guidance of senior colleagues.
• Learn to use tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, government tender platforms, and industry directories to gather information.
• Help keep CRM systems accurate and up to date.
• Contribute to preparing outreach materials and supporting campaigns.
• Monitor tender notices, awards, and industry updates to flag opportunities for the team.
• Work closely with the Business Development and Marketing teams to share insights and contribute to projects.
• Develop research summaries and basic competitor profiles with support from senior team members.

Requirements

• Recent graduate or current student with an interest in defence, aerospace, or engineering industries.
• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn about business development.
• Good research and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
• Comfortable using online tools and able to pick up new platforms quickly.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and able to work as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Some experience in research, lead generation, or business support is helpful but not essential.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn or-other research platforms would be an advantage.
