Income Officer - Hertfordshire
About the Role: Our client, a leading housing provider, is seeking an experienced Income Officer to join their team in Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable organisation that values customer service and financial sustainability. Key Responsibilities: Manage rent accounts and ensure timely collection of income. Proactively address arrears and negotiate repayment plans. Provide advice and support to tenants on welfare benefits and income maximisation. Prepare and present cases for legal action when necessary. Work closely with housing officers and external agencies to resolve complex cases. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and legislation. Requirements: Previous experience in income management or rent collection within social housing. Strong knowledge of housing benefits and Universal Credit. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines. IT literate with experience using housing management systems.
