We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role will initially involve a range of general warehouse duties, with the opportunity to progress into operating CNC machinery. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities The role will involve maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment, ensuring that all work areas and storage spaces are kept tidy and efficient. You will be responsible for handling, storing, and moving materials in a safe and effective manner, while also supporting stock control and general warehouse operations as required. In addition to warehouse duties, you will assist with production-related tasks such as gluing and assembling components, cutting felt and other materials to specified sizes, and preparing items for the manufacturing process. You will also support the setup of machinery and equipment under supervision, ensuring that materials and tools are ready for use. As part of your development, you will be trained to operate CNC machinery. This will include learning how to set up machines, follow technical drawings and job specifications, monitor machine performance, and ensure that quality standards are consistently met. You will also be expected to carry out basic maintenance tasks and report any issues or faults.
