Job Description and Person Specification Information Governance Manager Job Description Role Overview The Information Governance Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the information management workstream associated with the decommissioning of on-site modern records storage facilities. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to support the organisation in ensuring the appropriate handling, appraisal, and disposal of records, thereby safeguarding the Corporate Memory and supporting organisational change. Main Duties and Responsibilities Lead on the information management workstream for the decommissioning of on-site modern records storage facilities. Review and appraise records at the disposal stage of the lifecycle, with a view to their permanent preservation as part of the Corporate Memory. Collaborate with staff across the organisation to negotiate actions on physical records, including decisions on disposal and defining review dates. Provide expert advice on information governance and records management to support the effective decommissioning of modern records storage facilities. Physically handle records, including lifting, carrying, and moving boxes and files as required. Conduct information audits to identify records for retention, disposal, or transfer.
