We seek a Principal / Associate Transport Decarbonisation Consultant based in any UK office. Your responsibilities will include:Advising government bodies on transport decarbonisation aligned with carbon budgets and net zero targetsCollaborating across teams to identify solutions for decarbonisation challenges and their impactsAligning decarbonisation strategies with client policy agendasLeading innovative projects and developing new decarbonisation services and toolsSupporting staff development, technical leadership, and quality assuranceManaging fee proposals and technical and commercial responsesContributing to business development and continuous improvement activitiesPromoting a ''carbon conscious'' culture within the team and across the businessThe ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in transport assessment, modelling, and carbon evaluation, with a background in transport planning, modelling, or carbon assessment and a passion for climate change mitigation. The Transport Net Zero team comprises carbon specialists guiding clients through transport decarbonisation, embedding carbon thinking into transport planning. Our work includes carbon assessments, policy development, and industry guidance, influencing industry standards and strategies.What We Look For
Experience in technical leadership and project managementStrong communication skills and ability to simplify complex dataBackground in transport planning, policy, or major scheme developmentUnderstanding of model outputs and decarbonisation principlesKnowledge of the planning system is advantageousAnalytical skills and innovative mindsetPassion for delivering Net Zero goalsProfessional qualification or chartership is desirableWhy Join Us?
