MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service in their search for a Learning and Organisational Development Business Partner, based in Lisburn. This is a chance to make a real difference in an organisation that saves lives and protects communities!This role supports the Learning and OD Manager and is vital in supporting the function. You will lead in specific areas of the NIFRS People Strategy, aligning them with the priorities of the organisation. This will include leadership development, employee engagement, performance management and coaching.This is an excellent opportunity for you to manage large-scale, diverse and complex organisational Development initiatives and projects, supporting the management of the OD budget for delivering services.The role will involve:Partnering with a number of defined business areas, providing expert LandOD advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.Leading the design, development and delivery of HR/LandOD objectives and projects as outlined in the NIFRS People Strategy.Providing expert LandOD advice and to support the delivery of key strategic organisational change and learning objectives.Collaborating with a wide scope of internal and external stakeholders to design, develop, and implement learning and organisational development programmes.Providing supervision and performance management of LandOD employees.The Person
You will be an experienced LandD Business Partner, with strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills. You will have:Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.CIPD Level 5 qualificationAssociate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), with a view to reaching Chartered membership within 6 monthsA minimum of 3 years'' experience of working in a Learning and Development/OD role providing specialist advice and guidance on Learning/Organisational Development matters.A full, current UK driving licence or have access to a form of transport which enables them to fulfil the full requirements of the job.Desirable
Experience working within local government or a public sector organisation.Possess a recognised teaching/ training qualification.Assessor/Internal Verifier qualificationWhat''s in it for you?
