Fully Qualified Fabricator-Sheet Metal Worker
North Manchester - excellent access to M62, M60 and M61 motorways.
£30,129 annual salary
Excellent overtime rates across the week and weekend - Overtime (Mon–Sat): £23.50/hr and (Sun/Bank Holidays): £31.30/hr
Hours - Mon to Thurs 7.30am to 4pm and Fri - 7.30am to 12pm
Based on site in Bury - no travel
Free Parking.

My client is looking to recruit a fully qualified fabricator-sheet metal worker to join their Production team. This hands-on role offers a diverse mix of precision machining and mechanical fitting tasks, working on advanced engineered systems.

Core Responsibilities:

• Fabricate precision components using sheet metal processes, including TIG welding, folding, cutting, and assembly.
• Interpret engineering drawings to produce equipment to specification, maintaining strict quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve fabrication efficiency and workflow.
• Conduct equipment servicing and maintenance when required.
• Apply welding and fabrication knowledge to bespoke and repeat builds with attention to detail.

Role Requirements:

• Time-served Fabricator / Sheet Metal Worker with proven industry experience.
• Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 3 NVQ Diploma or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of metalwork techniques—TIG welding, stainless steel fabrication, press brake operation, etc.
• Ability to follow detailed specs and meet tight deadlines.
