Head Office Accountant (Maternity Cover)

to join our team. In this role, you will oversee financial accounting activities at our head office, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and providing essential support for business decision-making.

Please note, this maternity cover position will ideally commence no later than the beginning of November.

What you''ll be doing...

As Head Office Accountant, you will manage the financial accounting activities at the head office, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and support for business decision-making.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reportsManage the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of transactionsReconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain data integritySupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processesEnsure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controlsCollaborate and support internal teams, Senior Heads of Departments and external auditors during audits and reviewsAssist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and proceduresProvide financial analysis and insights to support business performanceMaintain and improve accounting systems and processes

Working pattern:

Monday - Friday

What can you bring?Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a head office or corporate environmentStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulationsExperience with financial reporting and audit processesExcellent attention to detail and analytical skillsProficient in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelStrong organisational and time management abilitiesEffective communication and teamwork skillsProfessional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) desirable
