Job Description:

• Plan and deliver interactive and stimulating science lessons, covering key topics in biology, chemistry, and physics.
• Encourage scientific curiosity, helping students develop analytical and experimental skills.
• Prepare students for assessments and examinations, offering effective strategies to support their progress.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all students feel engaged and motivated.
• Guide students in practical experiments and scientific investigations, developing their confidence in hands-on learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student development and academic success.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications. Unqualified welcome to apply.
• Have experience teaching science, ideally at secondary level.
• Be passionate, knowledgeable, and engaging, with a commitment to high-quality science education.
• Have excellent classroom management skills, creating a structured and stimulating learning environment.
• Possess strong communication skills, supporting students in their scientific learning and development.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a clear DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
• Be eager to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
