Graduate Teaching Assistant
About the Role
Veritas Education are working in partnership with a range of supportive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Kirklees, who are seeking enthusiastic and committed Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are considering a career in teaching or education. The role offers invaluable, hands-on experience working within a classroom environment and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
- Supporting pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional needs
- Helping to prepare teaching resources and learning materials
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- A recent graduate (any subject considered; core subjects preferred)
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, flexible, and positive approach
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
- An interest in pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, or related fields
