Join a well-established multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in the heart of Central London, seeking a Principal or Senior Civil Engineer with 5+ years’ experience in drainage, highways, and road design.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing civils team (currently 8 people), within a supportive London office of 19, and a wider business of around 60 professionals. You’ll work across a diverse project portfolio – including industrial, commercial, residential, retail, healthcare, and leisure developments – while playing a key role in project delivery and team leadership.
They’re looking for someone who brings technical expertise and leadership, but also a positive, team-focused mindset, with a passion for creative problem-solving.

What You’ll Be Doing
Leading and mentoring a team of engineers from apprentice to experienced levels
Client liaison for project delivery and developing new opportunities
Designing drainage, roads, earthworks, and infrastructure across a variety of sectors
Producing drawings from concept through to construction stage
Preparing
Flood Risk Assessments ,
Drainage Strategies ,
Service Reports , and
SuDS designs
Working on technical approvals for
Section 104, 38, 278
and other relevant consents
Carrying out
site audits , feasibility studies, and swept path assessments
What You’ll Need
A degree in
Civil Engineering
(or similar)
At least
5 years’ experience
in UK civil engineering consultancy work
Strong report writing skills – e.g.
Flood Risk Assessments ,
Drainage Statements
Experience with
AutoCAD
and drainage design software such as
Micro Drainage
Familiarity with
Auto Track
for swept path analysis
Working knowledge of
ground modelling software
for road and earthworks design
