Senior Town Planner - Northampton

I''m currently working on behalf of a well-established and growing consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to join their team in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on a diverse project portfolio and wants to play a key role in shaping development strategies across the UK.

The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you will take ownership of a wide range of planning projects, providing expert advice to clients and managing applications through the planning process. You''ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, contributing to both strategic and immediate development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing planning applications from inception through to determination
• Preparing high-quality planning appraisals, statements, and reports
• Advising clients on planning policy, strategy, and risk
• Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants
• Supporting junior team members and contributing to team development
• Assisting in business development and client relationship management

About You

• MRTPI qualified (or working towards chartership)
• Proven experience in a planning consultancy or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
