Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for several Drivers to join Barnsley Council''s Grounds Maintenance and Waste Services Departments. These are temporary contracts initially for 3 months with a view to extend, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: Drive council vehicles (including those with trailers or equipment) to support operational duties Undertake grounds maintenance, site security, and manual handling tasks in all weather conditions Conduct vehicle safety checks, report faults, and carry out basic maintenance Lock and unlock council sites and premises as required Grass cutting tasks Street Cleaning Requirements: Full UK driving licence (Category B, B+E, C1 or C1+E) Experience working in grounds maintenance or similar operational environment Strong teamwork and communication skills A positive, proactive attitude with good attention to health and safety practices If this role would be of interest to you, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
