Overview

Head of Audit Application and Change at MUFG. MUFG Internal Audit is seeking a highly motivated IT Audit Director to lead and manage the audit coverage of Technology Application and Change for the EMEA region. As a key member of the Internal Audit leadership team, you will safeguard MUFG’s IT and Change and Transformation activities by providing independent and objective assessments of controls, identifying and evaluating risks and recommending improvements.Key responsibilities

Actively participate in the development and implementation of the long-term vision, strategy and target operating model of Integrated Application Control and Change and Transformation coverage within Internal Audit.Create a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Develop and implement a risk-based audit plan for Integrated Application Control and Change and Transformation, aligned with MUFG’s risk appetite.Demonstrate accountability for the delivery of the portfolio of audits and issue management/validation for the assigned portfolio on time and within Internal Audit KPIs.Dynamically manage the portfolio audit plan, proposing changes as needed.Lead and manage a team of IT and Change Auditors conducting comprehensive audits across MUFG’s EMEA operations.Stay current on emerging risks and best practices in Integrated Application Control and Change and Transformation controls.Design and execute complex IT audits using data analysis, automated auditing tools and manual testing.Evaluate the effectiveness of business application controls and project/change related controls as part of integrated and change audit coverage.Display urgency to complete tasks within short turnaround times; hold the team accountable for timely delivery and quality.Stakeholder ownership

Communicate effectively with business stakeholders across the EMEA region at all levels, including senior management and IT leadership.Document audit findings, recommendations and action plans concisely; present results to senior management clearly.Monitor implementation of management action plans and track remediation progress.Embed an agile framework to improve stakeholder interaction and have teams raise issues as they occur; share feedback from external sources and industry risk insights.Influence enterprise-wide change and provide insights on risk and control best practices and emerging risks.Identify opportunities to partner with stakeholders to drive tangible outcomes and raise control standards.Provide assurance on strategic changes within MUFG and areas of regulatory focus.People management

Develop a high-performing team through quality performance management and talent development.Promote a positive culture and action employee survey results; collaborate with directors and ExCo to deliver the MUFG Audit Vision and Strategy.Drive an output-oriented culture with flexible hybrid working and required on-site attendance; create a safe working environment upholding MUFG culture.Adapt communication style to build relationships with the team and stakeholders; act on feedback and provide regular, high-quality coaching and performance conversations.Be accountable for line management of all staff in the portfolio, including junior staff; deliver tough messages promptly and develop staff through coaching.Experience and qualifications

Essential : Minimum 10 years of experience in IT audit, Change audit or related field; proven leadership in managing and motivating teams.Preferred : Experience in Financial Services in Corporate/Investment Banking and/or Global Markets; understanding of regulatory environment in MUFG’s EMEA operations.Skills and competencies

IT governance, risk management frameworks and IT control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, COSO).Understanding of business application control principles and change governance/project delivery principles.Experience with IT audit methodologies, tools, data analysis and automation; excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems; strong analytical skills.Education / qualifications

Essential : IT audit and Change credentials (e.g., CISA, CIIA, etc.).Preferred : Qualifications relevant to Financial Services, technology governance, risk management, control, cyber security and/or Internal Audit.Personal requirements
