This is a hands-on role producing medium to large turned components to customer specifications, using both manual and CNC lathes.Location: SheffieldSalary: Up to £19.30 per hourShifts: Days Shift (Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:30, Fri 08:00-14:30) + OvertimeResponsibilitiesOperate manual and CNC lathes using Heidenhain or Fanuc controlsMachine medium to large components using steadies, cap centres, and thimblesRead and interpret engineering drawings accuratelyProgramme CNC turning machines and set up toolingEnsure all equipment is prepared, fit for purpose, and maintainedMaintain quality, safety, and clean work areasRecord production progress using Epicor MESSuggest improvements to processes and routing where appropriateFollow calibration schedules and company proceduresContribute to team meetings and continuous improvement initiativeRequirementsTime-served CNC/Manual Turner with experience on medium to large componentsProven experience with Heidenhain and/or Fanuc controlsAble to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience writing and editing CNC turning programsFlexible and willing to operate different machines as neededTeam player, reliable, and dependableWillingness to work overtime and potential shift workBenefits25 days holiday + bank holidays (3 days allocated for Christmas shutdown)Company pension (5% employer contribut
