Head of IT

– Location: West Midlands (Full time on-site, multi-site coverage)A fast-growing organisation in the FMCG sector is looking for a Head of IT to lead the evolution of its technology and data strategy. This role combines oversight of core business applications with vendor and partner management, while also driving forward the use of analytics to enable smarter decision-making across the group. You’ll be joining at a pivotal point, with the opportunity to help shape systems, strategy, and delivery as the business invests in building its next phase of growth.Please note:

This is a full-time, on-site role (five days per week), with responsibility for coordinating technology resources across multiple UK locations. Remote / Hybrid working is not available for this position.The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership position focused on making IT and data a true enabler of business growth. You’ll coordinate internal and external resources, manage strategic partners, and ensure the organisation gains maximum value from its ERP, applications, and data platforms. By strengthening reporting and analytics capability, you’ll give stakeholders the insights they need to run operations more effectively. You’ll also act as the point of contact for the organisation’s cyber security strategy, working with external specialists, internal teams, and senior leadership to ensure risks are understood, mitigated, and aligned with overall business priorities.Key Areas of Focus

Vendor and Partner Management:

Oversee external providers and service contracts to ensure cost-effective, high-quality delivery.Business Partnering:

Act as the link between operational teams and senior leadership, translating requirements into IT priorities.Applications and ERP Oversight:

Ensure stability, performance, and development of core business systems.Analytics and Reporting:

Develop data-driven capabilities across the organisation, introducing tools and frameworks that improve visibility, forecasting, and decision-making.Cyber Security Strategy:

Be the business’s point of contact for cyber, coordinating external expertise and ensuring cyber considerations are built into IT planning.Resource Coordination:

Align internal teams and external partners across multiple sites for consistent, reliable IT service.Strategic Roadmap:

Shape and deliver the long-term IT and data strategy in partnership with senior leadership.About You

Proven IT leader with experience managing vendors and multi-site operations.Strong understanding of ERP and applications, with added value from analytics/BI experience.Knowledge of cyber security risks and strategy, with the ability to coordinate appropriate external/internal resources.Skilled at working with stakeholders at all levels to embed a data-driven culture.Able to navigate and work effectively across
