Overview
Specialist Occupational Therapist (Rotational) – Band 6 Occupational Therapist in a Band 6 rotation. You will rotate through Major Trauma, Neurosurgery, Neuro Rehabilitation, Orthopaedics, Stroke, Emergency Assessment Unit, Aging Complex Medicine and Community Stroke and Neuro Rehabilitation. A new addition of Critical Care has been included in the rotation. You will work closely with MDT colleagues to enable the best possible outcomes for patients. You will be well supported by the experienced Band 7 OT and Physiotherapy teams in the sections and you will supervise junior members of the team. You will work closely with community colleagues to ensure a smooth transition from hospital. Work as a band 6 OT who rotates across a wide range of specialties to provide a broad learning opportunity.Assess and treat patients to enable discharge from hospital to their own homes or to an appropriate rehabilitation setting.Work at pace with a sound understanding of the complex medical, physical, cognitive and psychosocial needs of patients.Provide supervision, support and training to junior team members and receive supervision from experienced Band 7 OT''s.Qualifications
Essential: BSc / MSc Occupational Therapy or equivalentPost graduate training relevant to rotational placementProfessional Registration

Member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT)Knowledge, Training and Experience
