Class 1 Driver Chertsey We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class 1 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) driver to join our team in Chertsey. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating cargo efficiently across various routes including airport. Working 5 days a week on a three-week shift pattern with 1 Saturday a month.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate Class 1 HGVs, following all traffic laws and company policies.Load and unload Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulatory standards.Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.SkillsProven experience in commercial driving, shuttle driving, or delivery driving within a heavy vehicle environment.Familiarity with load and unload procedures.Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients.Ability to navigate route driving efficiently using GPS or other navigation tools.Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.Experience with arctic with rollerbed is a plus.
