Learning Support Assistant - SEN School Slough We are excited to be partnering with a highly regarded SEN Support School in Slough, specialising in providing exceptional support to children with a range of complex needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory impairments, and other severe to moderate learning difficulties. The school caters to students aged 4 to 18 years old, offering a nurturing environment for those with varying levels of special educational needs. We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviours and additional learning needs, including ADHD, autism, and other complex or physical disabilities. Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students in both 1:1 and small group settings, providing academic, emotional, and social support. Your role will primarily focus on assisting students to understand their learning materials, offering encouragement, and fostering positive relationships. Some students may require personal or intimate care (e.g. toileting and changing), and you will be expected to provide this support with dignity and respect. Responsibilities: Support the classroom teacher by providing insights on student progress and needs, and assisting with any delegated tasks.
