Southern Self Drive is looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dedicated team in the Portsmouth area. Key Responsibilities: Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles Diagnose faults using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment Replace or repair faulty components as needed Perform road tests to ensure repairs have been successful Fit and service vehicle accessories Conduct service checks and MOT preparation Complete routine maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes Follow maintenance schedules and checklists Work collaboratively as part of a team Communicate effectively with colleagues and management What We''re Looking For: NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Minimum of 2 years'' experience in a workshop environment Full UK driving licence (clean or with up to 3 points; 1 non-fault accident may be considered) Strong technical knowledge of motor vehicles Familiarity with diagnostic tools and scanners Some knowledge of hybrid vehicles and safe maintenance procedures Good communication and organisational skills Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic Own set of toolsJob Type: Full-timePay: From £18.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits: Company events Company pension Employee discount Free parkingApplication question(s): Do you have any points or penalties on your licence?
