Job Title: Production Technician (Technical, Manufacturing, OEM) (full time - 40hrs p/w) Job role: An exciting opportunity to work for a Hi-tech SME manufacturing company, based in Suffolk, East Anglia. The role is part of the Operations team, reporting to the Operations manager, and involves the in-process inspection and assembly operations for the in-house manufactured laboratory equipment. Main responsibilities: Connecting wiring harnessSmall connector crimping and solderingMechanical assemblyAssembly of small tubing and fittingsReviewing manufacturing cell stock levels and qualityImprovement of product assembly through exploring new methodsSupporting production technicians with fault findingReporting of slow processes and quality concerns to line managersManage workload to achieve targets Skills/Qualifications (minimum): Minimum 2 years experience in a production biased role2 A levels or National diploma / GNVQ level 3Experience with mechanical assembliesAble and willing to learnAble to work in a busy deadline driven environment.Able to multi task with an organised approach.Confident with Windows, Excel, Word.Ability to read engineering drawings Desirable: Good technical understanding of materialsFull UK driving licenceExperience in fault-finding electro-mechanical assemblies Additional Information: The Salary offered for the position is based on experience between £26k and £28k per annum Candidates must be eligible to, and hold all relevant finalised paperwork to live
