About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to work across a variety of schools in Colchester. This role is offered through a well-established education recruitment agency and provides the opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in both mainstream and specialist settings.

You will play a vital role in delivering tailored education, helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual student needs

• Support pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties

• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals

• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress

• Contribute to the development and implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience working with SEND pupils in a school or specialist provision

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
