This position is ideal for individuals passionate about protecting the natural world, keen on conducting ecological assessments, and eager to develop creative mitigation strategies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting biodiversity and fostering sustainable relationships between development and the environment. Whilst working as an Ecologist, you will contribute to a range of ecological activities, including:- Conducting field surveys across various landscapes, focusing on protected species and habitats. - Preparing detailed ecological reports and assessments, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), and Habitat Regulations Assessments (HRA). - Developing and implementing mitigation strategies that balance ecological needs with development objectives. - Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and planners to provide ecological expertise and recommendations.
