You will be supervising and managing teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects on site, ensuring compliance in a technical, commercial, and HSEQ sense. You will also be responsible for logging rock and soil samples (such as boreholes and trial pits) and carrying out field testing and surveying, among other requirements.The successful candidate must be qualified to degree level in a related field (such as Geology or Geotechnical Engineering etc) and a minimum of 2-3 years experience conducting ground investigations and in-situ testing. The client is seeking an individual with a contractor background, including hands-on field experience (e.g. working on rigs and managing sites), who is also comfortable mentoring and supporting junior engineers. You must also hold strong communication and organisational skills, be proficient with MS office and have a full UK driving license, as the role will require travel to various sites.
