Workman''s Recruitment is partnering with a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy to find an experienced Chartered Health and Safety Advisor. With decades of industry experience, our client delivers specialist services across health and safety, building consultancy, and project management, serving clients in education, retail, construction, and beyond.
What You''ll Do
As our new Health and Safety Advisor, you''ll be the trusted expert clients rely on to navigate complex safety challenges. Working independently while backed by a supportive, experienced team, you''ll make a real impact on workplace safety standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide on-site health and safety support, ensuring full legislative compliance while building lasting client relationships
- Create tailored policies, procedures, and risk assessments that protect people and drive business success
- Conduct comprehensive management audits and deliver actionable improvement recommendations
- Manage critical property health and safety aspects including Fire Safety, Asbestos management, and Legionella control
- Deliver engaging CPD-accredited training programs, from asbestos awareness to manual handling
- Lead thorough accident investigations and manage RIDDOR reporting with precision and care
- Develop clear safety communications and maintain detailed client visit records
- Collaborate across departments and mentor junior colleagues to build tomorrow''s safety leaders
What We''re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on health and safety consultancy experience
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent qualification)-
- Current CMIOSH membership in good standing
- Proven experience in education and construction sector
- Strong proficiency with digital platforms and modern safety technologies
- Exceptional client-facing communication and presentation skills
- Collaborative team player with a flexible, solutions-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel to client sites
