Product Design Coordinator

Salary: Competitive

Position: Full Time / 8:30 – 17:00

The Opportunity
As part of our ongoing expansion, the opportunity has arisen to join our team in Daventry Northamptonshire. Working as a key part of the in-house design team, this role is to coordinate product design projects and tasks.

The Person

We are looking for someone who is very organised, ideally from a product design / engineering background with experience in project management and SolidWorks. If you have experience or qualifications in this field or similar, please get in contact.

Key Duties

• Experience checking and approving engineering drawings
• Project management and assigning tasks
• Ensuring processes are efficient and projects are completed in a timely manner
• Sourcing and arranging quotes
• Product management – Testing. Certification. Intellectual property. Data. QC. Compliance.
• Collaborating with product design team members and sales team on projects
• Provide product support to colleagues and customers

Requirements

• From a product design / mechanical / engineering background with project management / coordination skills, ideally with SolidWorks experience
• Excellent team working and communication skills
• Must be able to use initiative, suggest ideas and improvements to products
• Self-motivated, organised multi-tasker that enjoys a varied workload
• A good understanding of product design and manufacturing processes
• Excellent spelling and grammar with a meticulous attention to detail
• Competent using PCs and Windows

Desirable but Non-Essential Skills

• Experience with sheet metal / fabrications
• Previous experience with a PDM system (training given)
