Part Time Financial Controller

Overview
Change Accountancy and Finance are partnering with one of Scotland’s leading innovators within the Low Carbon sector to appoint a Part Time Financial Controller. The role will be across all areas of finance, taking responsibility for budgeting and forecasting in addition to month end close and reporting. Developing links and relationships with the business to understand its rhythm and drivers is key to aid in board level decision making and conversations, as well as taking a lead on enhancing management information and wider controls and processes.Responsibilities
Taking a lead role in the Financial Management of the business on a day to day and monthly basisDeveloping and reviewing a robust financial plan with budget setting as well as forecast projectionsReview and enhancement of financial models for investor and board reviewMonth end close and balance sheet review to create meaningful management information for board and investor presentationCash flow analysis and review of debtors and creditorsAssisting in product costing and developing MI across multiple product lines – attention to elements such as WIP and Stock analysisCompleting statutory returns and reportingResponsible for ad hoc accounting and transactional postings as requiredStrong Excel skills and ideally knowledge of Xero accountingQualifications / Experience
Applicants for the role will be able to show a strong financial background with the ability to balance being hands on, with the skills to present to investors and board members clearly. Offering insight and analysis, a basis of management accounting and budget setting will be key, with the ability to flex to the demands of a fast paced growing organisation. Experience in scale-ups is preferred; manufacturing or product-related experience would be beneficial for process improvement but is not essential.About the role and benefits
