Senior Estimator - Flooring role at Netwerk Adviseurs. Permanent position based in Birmingham, West Midlands. Reporting into Directors. The role focuses on developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of flooring projects across commercial and residential sectors, from luxury developments to refurbishments.About The Company

Our client is a well-established flooring contractor with more than 30 years of experience delivering flooring and ceramic tiling services across the UK. The company offers a broad product range, including impervious carpets, vinyl sheets, luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), timber and laminate flooring, ceramic and stone tiles, slip resistant vinyl, and sports flooring, serving commercial, healthcare, education, retail, leisure, and residential markets. They emphasize long-term partnerships with clients and suppliers, competitive pricing, and strong aftercare services.The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Estimator to join the commercial team. You will develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for flooring projects, collaborating with project teams to support bids and ensure high-quality flooring solutions across diverse sectors.Responsibilities

Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for a wide range of flooring projects (commercial and residential).Lead and manage multiple tenders, current and upcoming bids, and related procurement activities as required.Carry out quantity takeoffs from drawings and review quantities from electronic and paper drawings to ensure accuracy.Establish and implement pre-construction cost budgets to support project planning and delivery.Gather and organise preliminary workbooks in collaboration with operations leads.Collaborate with Directors and trainees to share expertise and enhance in-house skills.Prepare structured and compliant tender submissions to secure new contracts and business opportunities.Identify potential business opportunities within project scopes and manage bid activities to deliver status reports to stakeholders.Plan labour hours, organize task sequences, procure materials, and secure favorable terms from vendors and subcontractors to create comprehensive estimates.Review technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.Lead the estimating and proposals teams to ensure bids are commercially viable and of high quality.Qualifications and Experience

Extensive industry experience with at least 5 years working with a reputable flooring contractor.Proven track record as an Estimator in flooring and soft flooring; ceramic tiling experience is an advantage but not essential.Key Skills
