In this role, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring the timely processing of invoices, and managing the credit control process effectively. This position will play a vital role in managing financial processes and ensuring fiscal responsibility during the maternity cover period.

Main Responsibilities:

Process and maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy in data entry and invoice processingCoordinate payments to suppliers and manage payment queriesPerform reconciliation of purchase ledger accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies as neededManage the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debtsBuild relationships with Clients to enable timely collection of invoicesInvestigation of invoice queries for both Client and Patient/Insurance CompaniesMonitoring and reconciling of unallocated cashSupport the month-end close activities, providing relevant data and analysis as requiredMaintain effective filing systems to ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible

Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

At least 3 years of experience in purchase ledger and credit controlStrong knowledge of accounting principles and practicesProficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly ExcelExcellent communication and negotiation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAttention to detail and accurate record-keepingAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

Desirable:

Experience in healthcare or diagnostic services is a plusFamiliarity with ERP systems and accounting softwareProactive, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
