We are currently partnering with a Market Leading Strategy House, focussed on Insurance clients, to recruit a Principal Consultant. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in the firm, responsible for shaping and delivering complex client engagements, developing long-term client relationships, and driving business growth.You will operate as a senior strategic advisor to clients, typically at C-suite level, and will be accountable for the successful delivery of engagements, commercial outcomes, and internal capability development.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to;Lead major strategy and transformation engagements across the insurance industry, ensuring high-quality delivery and strong client impact.Build and manage long-term relationships with senior clients, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for further collaboration.Own the commercial success of projects, including scope definition, delivery oversight, and client satisfaction.Lead and mentor consulting teams, ensuring robust analysis, clear thinking, and actionable recommendations.Collaborate with Partners on business development initiatives, including lead generation, proposal development, and pitch delivery.Shape and contribute to the firm’s intellectual capital and thought leadership.Play a key role in developing internal capabilities, recruitment, and mentoring across the firm.The ideal candidate should have;8-12 years of experience in strategy consulting (ideally with time at a top-tier or boutique firm) or a strategic leadership role within the insurance sector.Deep understanding of the insurance value chain, operating models, and market trends.Proven track record of successfully leading large, complex strategy engagements.Strong commercial acumen with experience managing client relationships and contributing to business development.A degree from a leading university; MBA or similar postgraduate qualification is advantageous.Seniority level
