With an expanding portfolio and ambitious growth plans, our client is looking for a strategic and commercially-minded Head of Procurement to lead their procurement function and drive operational excellence across our supply chain.
 
The Role
 
As Head of Procurement, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing procurement strategies that support the delivery of multi-million-pound development projects. Reporting directly to the COO, you will lead procurement across construction, facilities, professional services, and indirect categories, ensuring value for money, compliance, and supplier performance.
 
Key Responsibilities
 

• Develop and lead the company’s end-to-end procurement strategy in line with commercial goals.
• Oversee procurement activities for construction materials, subcontractors, professional consultants, and indirect spend.
• Build and manage relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead negotiations and contract management to ensure optimal terms and risk mitigation.
• Implement systems, processes, and KPIs to improve procurement efficiency and transparency.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across all procurement activities.
• Lead and grow a high-performing procurement team.

• Proven experience in a senior procurement role, ideally within property development, construction, or real estate.
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Track record of delivering cost savings and supply chain improvements.
• Deep understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT/NEC), tendering, and procurement law.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• MCIPS qualification or equivalent (desirable).
• Strong leadership and change management capability.
