We’re looking for a Senior Events Manager to lead and deliver UK events that support business growth and strengthen communities’ connection with Xero. The role sits within the Regional Marketing team and participates in delivering world-class events in line with the UK operating plan and brand promise.

Overview

The Senior Events Manager (UK) leads end-to-end event experiences, maintains strong cross-functional relationships, and ensures events are aligned with strategic objectives, brand guidelines, and measurable outcomes.

What you’ll do

Plan and deliver world-class Xero events across the UK, including Xerocon, Xero Roadshow, and Xero Awards, plus sponsorship or participation at external industry events.

Lead end-to-end project management across all workstreams: event concept and theme development, objective setting, content planning, metrics tracking, and budget management.

Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver high-quality events aligned with business objectives and the UK marketing plan.

Contribute to the UK event strategy, ensuring alignment with the global event strategy and organizational goals.

Maintain brand consistency across all events, following brand guidelines when working with third-party production partners.

Create efficiencies across UK events by developing and updating operating processes for consistency.

Foster strong relationships with Marketing, Product, Communications, Education, Creative, Agency, and Sales teams to drive successful outcomes.

Provide guidance and mentorship within the broader marketing team and support Head of Events as needed.

Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of event production to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Own event objectives, including post-event reviews, ROI, and attendee engagement analyses.

Own event briefs for internal and external creative and agency teams, ensuring resources, brand alignment, and quality delivery.

Communicate updates to stakeholders and lead staff briefings and retro meetings.

Specific responsibilities

Sponsorship management

Act as the point of contact for sponsorships requiring event team support.

Ensure deliverables are executed per contracts, including stand logistics, registrations, lead capture, staffing, and content delivery.

Coordinate with third-party partners, internal creative teams, and suppliers to meet marketing objectives.

Collaborate with partner/SB marketing to deliver content and meet broader objectives.

Reporting

Provide event insights and feedback supported by data analytics to key stakeholders.

Share findings and learnings across marketing and broader business teams.

Deliver post-event strategic recommendations to the UK team and wider business.

Event Technology

Ensure consistent use of event technology for UK Xero events.

Identify areas for innovation and efficiency, and propose improvements for better experiences.

Collaborate with Marketing Operations to implement new or improved processes.

Success looks like

All UK event elements contribute to growth metrics, brand indicators, NPS, attendance, and sales pipeline where relevant.

Successful planning and delivery of the UK events portfolio on time, within budget, with clear ROI where appropriate.

Recognized as a valuable resource to UK GTM teams and global brand/activations.

Strong collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.

Ability to analyse results, identify learnings, and make strategic program recommendations.

Competency in Salesforce and event management software.

Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and writing skills.

Experience managing end-to-end marketing events and related activities.

Ability to collaborate with and influence others to achieve desired outcomes.
