Priory Hospital Kemple View is looking to recruit a Medical Secretary to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours. Located in Blackburn, Lancashire, Priory Hospital Kemple View is a 90-bedded hospital, offering level 2 rehabilitation, and secure services, for adult males. We can support people with a mental health condition and/or a personality disorder.What you''ll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you''re assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the hospital and particularly the medical team. This will regularly include typing, minute taking, receiving telephone enquiries, diary and appointment management, managing correspondence, meeting and greeting visitors and other administrative tasks as appropriate. You will also be required to liaise with other Priory Healthcare sites and departments, Insurers, GPs and Commissioners regarding specific patient details and invoicing.To provide cross cover within specified Medical Secretaries teams, as assigned by your line manager.Provide exceptional customer service to our patients, ensuring a positive customer experience.You will be required to accurately record Independent Consultant time to ensure appropriate invoicing controls are in place for the hospital. A high level of confidentiality and integrity is required to maintain trust and professionalism in all aspects of the role. Candidates should have experience in administrative, customer service, clinical, or other relevant backgrounds, and be comfortable working collaboratively within a team to ensure the department functions smoothly.
