Quality Engineer - The Opportunity

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join an established engineering business, to implement a hands- on approach to QHSE Management, foucusing driving a quality & safety mindset throughout the business. The Quality Engineers primary focus of the role is quality assurance and continuous improvement, offering wider support to health, safety and environmental activities.

Quality Engineer - Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with up-to-date ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements
• Support compliance with up-to-date ISO14001 and ISO45001 requirements
• Champion the process for non-comforming parts , liaising with all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and that corrective actions and preventative measures are fit for purpose and have been implemented
• Support supplier quality assurance activities , including supplier performance monitoring
• Drive continuous improvement and promote best practice
• Train others in all relevant aspects of the QMS and in the application of procedures
• Oversee the calibration management system

Quality Engineer - About You

• Strong understanding of Aerospace quality engineering to AS9100 standards
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements to AS9102
• Certified Auditor to ISO9001
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis tools
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and geometric tolerance requirements
• Confident, professional with excellent communication skills across all levels of the business
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
