Salary: c£80k-£85k basic plus competitive package inc car or allowance, healthcare, bonus, pension etc.

Company and Project: A profitable and market leading Main Contractor with an excellent reputation across Cambridgeshire and a healthy project pipeline are looking for talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their business to lead a c£45m project currently in PCSA stage.

The business is looking for a professional to join who is keen to progress their career and work on projects between c£40m-£80m in the local market.

The company has an excellent staff retention rate, with a clear structure and programme in place for their employees personal development, this role is to join as the Commercial Lead with a clear pathway to Managing Quantity Surveyor level within the business.

Responsibilities

Manage daily commercial management functions, including but not limited to: measurement and valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts - for specific packages on the project, working with the commercial team.

Previous experience leading projects in excess of £30m as the Number 1 QS is essential for this position.

Experience using JCT and NEC Contracts would be advantageous in addition to working on 2-stage tenders/procurement.

Desirable Experience

Minimum 10 years+ experience as a Quantity Surveyor working for a Main Contractor.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience managing individual projects in single value of c£30m+.

Qualifications and Skills

BSc in Quantity Surveying or Comparable qualification.
