JR291: Commercial Electrician

Location: London (Inside M25)

Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 Per Annum

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Commercial Electrician (BMS Division) to join their team covering various locations within the inner M25.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing Building Management System (BMS) panels, trunking and conduits, and wiring to plant room equipment including sensors, booster sets, valves, pressurisation units, boilers, and heat pumps (both air source and ground source). This role also involves fault finding and repairs on commercial electrical systems while ensuring all work is carried out safely, professionally, and in compliance with current regulations and legislation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install BMS panels, trunking, and conduits within commercial plant rooms.
• Wire systems to sensors, booster sets, valves, pressurisation units, boilers, heat pumps (air source and ground source) and associated equipment.
• Carry out electrical fault finding and repairs on commercial systems.
• Work as part of an installation team across commercial sites.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with current regulations and legislation.
• Maintain a professional approach when interacting with contractors and customers.
• Ensure installations meet high quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues and utilise technical support where required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• C&G 2382 / 2330-01 Level 2 and C&G 2382 / 2330-07 Level 3.
• C&G 2391 / 2393 / 2394 / 2395. (desirable)
• Knowledge and experience of energy efficiency systems.
• Previous experience diagnosing faults on commercial electrical systems.
• Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training (training can be provided).
• Training certificates for Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid (1-Day) or similar (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to keep technical knowledge up to date and apply new learning to the role.
