This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-achieving school dedicated to empowering young women in STEM and creative fields, inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) to develop their design thinking and practical skills. Responsibilities You will plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons, fostering creativity and technical proficiency in areas such as product design, textiles, and food technology. The role involves guiding students through the design process, from initial concept to final prototype, utilising a range of materials and techniques. You will cultivate a safe and stimulating workshop environment where girls feel empowered to experiment, innovate, and develop practical skills for the future. You will assess and monitor student progress with care, providing constructive feedback that encourages their design thinking and technical mastery. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design and Technology is essential. Experience teaching engaging and effective DandT lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4 is highly desirable.
