Behaviour Mentor (AP Setting)
Progress Teachers are looking for a committed Behaviour Mentor to work with a caseload of pupils in a local AP Setting with varying SEN/SEMH needs. You will provide one-to-one support, help implement behaviour strategies, and assist pupils in developing positive social, emotional, and learning behaviours. Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted one-to-one and small group support to pupils. Implement and support personalised behaviour management plans. Help pupils develop social, emotional, and self-regulation skills. Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress to teachers and leadership staff. Liaise closely with colleagues and parents/carers to ensure consistency in approaches and support young people to make constant positive progress. Support safe and positive learning environments and de-escalate challenging situations. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to provide consistent support. Assist pupils with transitions within the PRU and, where appropriate, prepare them for reintegration into mainstream education. Requirements: Experience working with children and young people with behavioural difficulties. Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Patience, resilience, and a solutions-focused approach.
