Job Title: Machine OperatorLocation: Wigan (WN6)Salary: 13.27 per hourShifts: Monday- Friday 07:00- 15:00Contract: Temporary- PermanentThe CompanyOur client a medium size family run business with over 30 years experience of supplying specialist high quality metals is looking to recruit a Machine Operator who can be mentored by an experienced team in various skills, as belowAs a Machine Operator your duties will be:Carry out general warehouse duties within a busy steel stockholding environmentOperate band saws and circular saws (full training provided)Learn to use CNC milling machinesSupport metal finishing processesAssist with packing and preparing customer ordersLoad and unload vehicles as stock arrivesCheck, measure, and inspect incoming and stored stockMaintain accurate stock control recordsComplete routine quality checksReceive training in the safe use of overhead cranes and slingsLearn to operate forklifts and side loadersThe successful Machine Operator will have the following skills;Wanting to learn and develop new skills.Must have a good understanding of Mathematics and figures.Hardworking with good work ethic.Due to the nature of the role and some heavy lifting, you must be physically fit.Good communicator both written and verbal
