We are committed to ensuring equal access to justice for all, regardless of their financial situation. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Legal Aid Supervisor to join our team.
Key Responsibilities :
-Supervise and support a team case workers and paralegals, ensuring the provision of excellent service to clients.
-Manage a caseload, providing guidance and advice on legal matters.
-Review and assess casework for accuracy and compliance with legal aid funding guidelines.
-Develop and deliver training to staff on legal aid procedures and best practices.
-Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and support to enhance team effectiveness.
Essential Skills and Qualifications :
-Qualified solicitor, legal executive, or equivalent with significant experience in legal aid.
-Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
-In-depth knowledge of legal aid policies, procedures, and funding guidelines.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to handle complex and sensitive legal issues with empathy and professionalism.
-A proactive approach to continuous professional development and staying up to date with legal developments.
Desirable :
-Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a legal aid environment.
-Familiarity with case management systems and legal aid software.
